AERA-vator: AE-40E

It is that time of year when seed needs to be put down, but which aeration method?

I have been looking at this product, and was interested in knowing any experience you may have had with this product.

http://www.1stproducts.com/categorie...A-vator-AE-40E Cost is about $5800 while the ride on http://www.1stproducts.com/categorie...-On-AERA-vator is about $10,000.

I've used a three point hitch 60" aeravator. i gotta say it's the best prep tool for NEW installation's i have ever used. I would not use it to just aerify though, it's tine action is way too aggressive.

If u want holes instead of loose soil make sure the soil is moist before running the aeravator over it. If loose soil is your goal, soil must be dry and adjust pto/travel speed to suit your specs. Personally I believe this is the greatest product for overseeding with the seed box and roller. I customized our on the sod farm with dual cul de packer wheels.
