Greentouch trimmer rack problems

I have a three place green touch trimmer rack the fancy one that is supposed to hold it straight up and down and not damage the trigger. I have had it on the trailer since spring and last month my stihl stick edger motor broke lose from the shaft while on the rack in transport. Today the guys come back and one of the stihl fs90's have the same problem broke the shaft right in the of the mounts that stay on the trimmer is this common is the rack junk or what I have some other brands on our other trailers and no problems other then a busted trigger now and then or a little gas leaking but nothing this major. Any help would be appreciated.

They sell a motor support, so its not an uncommon problem. That being said I have a 3 place and have had zero problems with my echos the last three years, and I run some pretty bumpy roads. The real plus to these racks is the security they provide and zero spinning.

Did you not search on Lawnsite about these racks before you bought them? We've been warning about these trimmer racks snapping heads off for years.

Yep. Jury is still out for me. Had mine for about 2 months now. Took some angle iron and some fabrication just to install them where I was comfortable. My echo trimmer is fine on the rack, but my stick edger is a little worrisome on it. Sometimes I think I was better off with the rack from tractor supply.

I have a 4 place rack in our box trucks....really love them. No complaints

Roughly 2-2.5yrs I've had two racks with no issues for either.

Have mine mounted over the axles for several years with no problems. The mounting block is as close as possible to the head.

Get the motor support kit.

I will look into the motor support kit. Good news is I had a edger and a trimmer with blown motors so I just swapped out the shafts

5 years on a 2 place rack on it's second trailer and still no issues. It's to the point where it looks weathered and aged but still functioning perfect. I think I'm going to hit them with some black paint so they blend with the trailer. Just a hint, the closer they are mounted to the tow vehicle, the less chance of any damage. I have mine mounted side to side, not front to back.
