For the past 3 seasons I have done ride on on 4K sq ft and larger lawns, and backpack/push spread the postage stamps. It works for me, I don't think I'll ever buy a skid. One thing that I wish I could change: the weight of 3-4 gallons of mix on your shoulders and back in a backpack. If I could find a nice electric push sprayer......
