Yeah tight fit but I needed it the 180. I had about 6" of room before the boom touched the house on the right and at the end of my reach placing the last rocks up top. Plus the fact that there are 5-6 guys I have to keep an eye on building the house to the right and 3 guys doing the siding on the house to the left. Keeps me sharp

MN must be more forgiving on bridge law. I am about maxed out with a CASE 160 on my triaxle tag with dump truck drop axle. I can bridge 77K max and I am at 74K licensed for 75K. No way I could float a 180 sized machine.

That was one thing we were worried about when working out the details on the machine. Ends up that the width of the machine was more of an issue than the weight with our triaxle. Anything up to 80k is alright with special licensing after that. Of course we dance around roads with axle weight restrictions all the time though. I know a lot of guys pulling 200 sized machines around or 160's with a 6-8k pound CTL on front on triaxles. See one almost every day
The extra 1' of width is huge though for stability placing rocks over the side. The 180 feels so planted all the time. Posted via Mobile Device |

How wide is the 180?
My Dad likes your Tri. He likes those old Fords. Does that have a steerable pusher? I've been checking out some different websites from the Twin Cities, some are wild and some are cringe-worthy. I'm not a fan of the uniform/modular style walls but seems like there is a lot of them being built. You know of some other websites to check out (good ones)?

Not steerable, Dad bought that truck new in 1996. Are you talking just boulders? BoulderImages has a nice website. For whatever reason whenever I am building a bigger wall near a road I always see their trucks drive by ![]() They do more boulderscaping with limestone than actual walls though. Looks very nice. ![]() Bet I would, might be too wide to get in some places I go though ![]() Plus might need a more than just some flags to pull something that wide around

That is killer, though. How much more reach does the Doosan have compared to the Case?
