Small slit seeder or drill for lawn tractor

Does anyone know if there is a product made, either a seed drill or slit seeder that can be pulled behind a smaller lawn tractor. I'm tired of having to rent equipment that beats me up while using and not being able to get (rent) the unit when I need it. I have ~1 acre of lawn and my parents have ~3 acres and when going over it in two different directions, I am exhausted. Not to mention the cost of rental. Something I could pull behind my lawn tractor would be ideal.

Thanks

Good question.
Somebody try a spiker and a couple brands of aerators and overseed. Let us know which produces the best seed germination.
This is such a difficult problem--because--the new grass looks almost the same as the old grass. To do this test you would need a new grass that was a different color--or maybe use clover seed.
Or you could get down on your hands and knees and count the percentage of rye and bluegrass--assuming you can tell the difference and that you started out with pure bluegrass.
