I have never worn out a set of tires on a zero. under 500 hours on my one year old tires. and over 600 on my dads zero after 11 years. both are about the same. I am VERY hard on tires of all sorts.
Foam filled tires should have no effect on trans, unless they are really heavy?

I'll have 800 on mine. Stiil some decent tread left. Won't make it past next year though.

I got 400 out of first set of ChenShins, about 100 hours from Carlisles and now have Kendas at about 15-20 hours...holding up well so far.

I do a lot of turning on concrete after the initial 400 hours...picked up a job with over 150 driveways.

I get two seasons out of mine. Depends if you make turns on the sidewalk and asphalt. And if you are aggressive on hard surfaces

Are you accidentally trying to drive it when the parking brake is on?

That is happening to my grandstand as well, the brake is actually rubbing away the rubber, at 400 hours. To put it in perspective my Zturn has over 1400 hours and the tires look brand new.

Some of your better tire stores can do it...takes about 3-5 days and it's around $35-$45 per tire.

Hardly worth it in my opinion, just buy a 4 ply which will help tremendously.
