Bentgrass and overseeding

I have a very large area (roughly an acre) of bentgrass that I'd like to get rid of and overseed with tall fescue.

Large area across the creek. The morning dew really shows all the bentgrass versus what fesue is there. (ATV tire marks, I just aerated) This side of the creek was completely killed off and and planted in tall fesue.

What's the best way to go about doing it the right way? Mowing down to 2", sweeping up all the clippings and then overseeding? I planned on overseeding with a LS (9hp). Spraying with Gly and killing off is not an option as there is no way that I can water such a large area. (in the country with a well)

As to why I want to kill off the BG? The drought this year just cooked all the BG and also because I can't stand the looks of it.

Opinions? Thoughts? Thanks. Grady
