bush hog pricing

how much are folks charging for bush hogging? i farm on the side of lawn care and already own a John Deere 4230 and a 25' bat wing bush hog mowing for chopping corn stalks and i figured i could make some extra money bush hogging. thanks

In town lots I get 65-75 per hr but would use small tractor with 6ft sidewinder tire driven unit

That's a lot of bush hog to try to do most of what I do here...I run a 6 foot hog here and get a minimum of 75 an hour, with a 3 hour minimum.

if you have a website put something on the main page that says something along the lines of "Now available from (company name) is our bush hog service and pasture mowing service" and then explain some detail. if you have an atv you could get a pull behind brush mower. i would recommend the ones from DR Power over any other. If you have a big tractor like me you could get anywhere from a 5 or 6 foot 3pt mower to a 25 or 35 foot pull type batwing brush mower. it all depends on the market for brush mowing in your area. what equipment you already own or what you need to buy. ask yourself a couple questions. Is there a large enough market for bush hogging in my area? I am a farmer so i make money chopping corn stalks and tall weeds for my neighboring farmers. What equipment do you have and what equipment would you need to purchase? i already own a atv with a dr pull behind brush mower and i already own a tractor with pull type batwing mower. Can you transport you equipment. I have a gooseneck for the big tractor if i am going anywhere farther than 10 miles. If you live by farms i would try to get a couple bush hogging jobs from some local farms because it is always needed. if you can do that then there is a good chance to make some money because from my day to day life i can tell you that farmers talk to farmers and want to know things like that and you could get a lot of jobs from referals. best of luck

I don't need to purchase anything, already have a 120hp tractor and a 15 Bush Hog Batwing....may just need to ask around...
