the g stands for G force or multiply the weight by the number in front of the g.
If machine weighs 10k pounds 10,000 x .5g = 5000 pounds. The chain will need to rated higher than that. http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/rules-regul.../cs-policy.htm There are the rules. Anything over 10k has to have a min of 4 tiedowns. Under 10k can go with 2 tiedowns if I read it right.LOL |
