Absolutely agree with Kiril, a toner is an absolute must. One of the top three tools that you should always have.
Since you know which wire you are looking for, it should only be a matter of minutes for you to locate it in your bundle. I used mine today. If the box did break your wire, you may have to dig it up to find the one that you are looking for. How do the connections look, in the box?

The wires under the box were on the other side of a T. The one we were looking for is under a 40' tree with LOTS of big a** roots. There are two bundles of cables and the locator took me to the area where they branched off. Now we just have to get down to them and repair the bad one and then relocate them all away from the tree.
I was able to borrow a "toner" but will be looking for one to have of my own. John |

I have posted this before but it's worth repeating.
Inductive amplifiers (Toners) work with most if not all transmitters. I use my EP200 with all of my locators and TDRs and it works well. Posted via Mobile Device |
