An electric starter for trimmers

Troy Bilt has this electric jump start for their trimmers. Is this unit powerful enough to start an Echo 28cc unit (I can install a nut on the arbor)? Does anybody out there start their 2 stroke units with an electric drill or whatnot (how do you lock up a drill/battery from getting stolen.... tough)? I would like to see all my options for accomplishing this, since it will save my shoulder. Thanks.

Not worried about the trimmer but for a backpack it would be cool.

that sounds like 10x more work than its worth. unless it somehow saves time for you to get out a drill/battery from the trailer. and walk over to the equipment. start it then walk it back to the trailer. then walk back to the equipment. instead of pulling a rope 1x per lawn. if you're equipment ran as good as it should your shoulder would be fine

My kawasaki trimmer fires on the first pull usually. Sometimes the 2nd pull.

I've seen and used that troybuilt thing. It's kinda gimmicky.

Tanaka had this 10-15 years ago. Look up an AST-7000 or AST-210.

I have sold a few batteries for them over the years. People that own them love them.

Im sorry but that just seems like overkill. Alot of work just to start a trimmer

Just finished wiring my inverter into my truck, now I got 800 watts to the back of my truck!

Explanation: I pull in $75k a year all by myself. about 14 lawns per day, edger, trimmer, hedge clipper, all 2 pulls to start do the math! This adds up to a lot of pulls. Then side jobs clearing sometimes, more stress on the shoulder. Last week my wacker had no compression on one pull, and I threw my high school pitching shoulder out a little bit and took 4 days to heal. Plus, I play with my kids, workout and do a lot of other things with my shoulder. This is a good investment.
