The machines would only total about 8 hours between them in 2 days and I would have one saw man and one operator. I do this all the time and I would have every tree on the ground in a couple hours. I move the trees in extremely large peices to where they will be stored to save clean up and then cut them there. That is a very easy job for me.

more pics to give an idea off the whole area. spoke to the property owner earlier(we didnt get to meet today due to weather today). he wants a full cleanup on the 10acres.

sounds like a good little project to me. so you have to get the stumps up or are you leaving them? looks like some big trees to me.

If it were me I'd have a skid steer to help clean up and a bigger excavator loading it into a truck, either my 140 or 210. at the end your going to have to grade it all out ( looks kinda wet) and seed/ straw.


as with everything its hard to tell from pics on what it would cost. Can't go wrong with going in saying you will do it time and materials. X amount for the skid steer. x amount for the ex and truck. that way the customer can say stay longer or thats enough.

if it were me and you know the guy will pay good money, i would want 5-700 a tree, that should take care of your expenses, and leave you with some decent profit, up here it would be more like 1000 a tree if there was that many, and that includes removing everything, and grinding the stump. but ct is one of the wealthiest states, but its looks like you have found a homeowner with quite a bit of money so have at it! obviously i wouldn't tell the homeowner a per tree price, but i would just keep that in my head and multiply it by the number of trees you have to cut, and chip up. the add taxes and submit.
