I'm just finishing up building an isokern fireplace finished with brick. This us the first time I've some masonry work like this. I've done some research on cleaning the brick and have 600 detergent. I will wet down the surface first and wear protective gear. I have long handled scrub brushes. I believe it s a concentrate. I wanted some more tips on using it. Thanks

I use a 50/50 mix of meriatic acid and water, prewet the stone and use a scrub brush.

The acid is easiest, use that

Meriatic acid is how the pros do it. I work caulking & masonary restoration fulltime for over a year now. I am a caulker/painter & have not done to much on the masonary side but have been in contruction for 13 yrs & most seem to use power washer from a distance. Then use pump sprayer to apply acid & scrub with brush, then rinse again with power washer from a distance. What I mean from a distance is, you don't want the power washer tip close to the brick, etching the surface.
