overseeding rate
I am planning on renting the overseeder from home depot. I know since it throws the seeds first it isn't a true slit seeder.
If I want to make two passes one in each direction do I only put down 1/2 the recommended seed for overseeding per pass? |

So if you're essentially broadcasting seed,,, why are you renting a slit-seeder? what area of bare soils are you trying to grow grass in?? and what kind of soil is it???
Sometimes you may need to just aerate the turf to death(just short of actually tilling the soil, then dragging the seed through the masses of topsoil...

overseeding rate
The home depot rental throws the seed in front then it has blades to slit the lawn and hopefully push it.
My grass has never been thick so I thought this was the best method I overseed. |
