Creative ways to mark equipment?

JMO...but I will not paint my equipment any goofy colors to identify them....I simply give all new equipment serial numbers to my insurance agent and lock my equipment. If anything should get stolen I will give the police a list of the stolen items serial numbers, get a police report and forward it to my insurance agent and replace the stolen equipment and move on.....no time to play detective!!

I,ve been doing this for years,Take off the gas caps and engrave (inside)
my last 4 #s of my social security number on every cap,
Some of my equipment you will find this on other areas.
Works well if idem is pawned.
