Mower Identification and Engine Help

Hey Everyone. I just picked up this lawn mower today...paid $460.

A little rusty (not in mint condition)...and the engine definitely has some problems. I'm trying to diagnose exactly what the problems are and see if I should have a small engine mechanic tune it up, or just buy a new bolt on engine.

Two things I can use all your help with. I know the engine is a Kawasaki FV460v.

Nowhere on the body of the mower does it show what kind of mower it is...do you have an ideas of what make/model this is?

Also, if I replace the engine, do you all know what new engines I could buy that would fit on this mower?

My first guess is that its an Encore 48k200

It looks like either ENCORE or KEE'S brand mower.
Engine is Kawasaki FB460V

So do you guys think, even if the engine is a "throw away" (I think it's fixable probably, maybe just rather spend the money on a new engine)...that $460 was a fair deal?

Also, do you know what engines I can replace the fv460v with that will fit easily?

I've gotten it to run, it just doesn't want to start consistently. Something must need fixing, I just have very little mechanical know how to diagnose it

Best to measure the shaft and match it up that way.
