Best way to clean up leaves and branches off lawns and shrub beds
I have read on lawnsite these methods for lawn clean ups. Looking for advice on advantages and disadvantages
Looking for fastest way to clean each and haul away with a trailer or pickup truck. Rake, blow, vacuum, and sears sells a mulcher/mower that will also do duty as a small wood chipper. Anyone use this sears machine? bag it, or rake onto a small tarp then unload on to a trailer/pick up bed that is covered with a tarp so you can pull the whole load off in one shot at the dump Anything I have not heard or thought off? |

Anytime I trim shrubbery I re apply a coat of mulch/straw in the landscape bed, keeps you from having to spend an hour worrying about every little leaf. Rake the clippings out into the yard, pull out and branches or thick woody material and run them over with the mulcher then a walkbehind with a bagger on it. If it's going to be a ton of clippings I just put a tarp under the shrub before I trim it and drag it out to the curb or trailer then a nice fresh coat or mulch/straw and you're on to the next job

Ha, it doesn't matter how long I haven't been on the site, the threads are always the same.
What is the BEST way, or the EASIEST way? You seem like a homeowner type. I would say hire one of us would be the easiest but I'm just jokin. You want to blow/rake them all to central location closest to the trailer or pull trailer up to pile and tarp. Any way you can NOT bag leaves, and get them off the property will be best.

Dont buy anything from sears unless you are an occasional use home owner! I blow all the leaves and trimmings into a pile and grind them up with my mower. Then I put a vac system on the mower and suck the clippings into a hopper and dump the hopper on a trailer. If you dont have a commercial mower with a vac system grind the pile up with a regular mower to reduce volume and transport with can or wheel barrow to trailer. Its hard to make a profit without the right equipment. Leaf work typically sucks in my opinion and I only provide the service for my existing clients.
