Echo PB 250 blower carb adjustment tool

I have an Echo PB 250 blower and need to adjust the carb. The H and L adjustments are on the right hand side of the carb exposed and need a very small spline tool. The spline tool for Craftsman, Poulon, etc is tool large. The splines on the Echo is very small. Where can I obtain this tool?

You cannot. The tools are only available to dealers. Its illegal to sell them to the public. And no, its not a conspiracy of the dealers to force you to pay them....its the EPA.

It IS illegal for legitimate dealers to sell current tools.

Not saying you wont find them online but I would be careful. The fines are pretty steep if the EPA finds them or you.

Still looking for the long D shape tool. Surely, somebody's got one - at a reasonable price.

If the following link works, it may answer your question. Yeah, it's a directive from MTD but with provisions from our friends at the EPA.
