Help with mower

I bought a used Yazoo Kees zero turn 48" cut mower from a guy yesterday. When I looked at the mower everything looked great (but I'm not a mechanic), also the guy stated everything was changed including new clutch, new spindles, and new blades. The mower runs great, but when you engage the blades the mower runs real slow. Yes, even when the engine is all the way up. I was wondering what was the problem.

Please help fellow Lawnsite members!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like RPM's are set too low or there's a governor issue, All engine numbers posted would be helpful.

Remove the deck drive belt then rotate the blades by hand, Even though the guy said spindles were new they could be binding up.....
