Questions about 1991 Chevy C3500 crew cab

I know where there's a used one for sale. Looks like it has about 177,000 miles worth of honest wear 'n tear on it. It looks like it has AC, it has been repainted (at least) once. It has a manual transmission; the shifter knob looks like a pattern for a 3-speed with a granny gear. Rear wheel drive only.

Any of you guys have experience with this make/model truck or similar? Any known problems to beware of IF I go look at it?

What kinda engine would it have? A 454 V8 or something else?

If the situation called for it, how would it get around in snow?

And... what could one expect in terms of mile gassage when pulling a landscape trailer? (Mile gassage is the opposite of gas mileage, in other words how many gallons to the mile? )

I have an 89 gmc 3500 with an 11 foot dump that has a 6.2 diesel. So the truck you mention is gm and about that age so that's an engine possibility. For us its our beater truck if the job will abuse the truck this is the one we use. I have a 2011 and 2012 4500 crew ram dumps so those are the work horses but when it comes to sticks and crap like that the gmc is the truck. I can see it in our fleet for another 10 years or more.
