pump shaft on t 3000
The pressure gauge on my t started fluctuating rapidly so i thought i needed new diaphragms. i pulled the pump and found the shaft was worn so much that,it wobbled. The kicker is the machine only has 80 hrs on it.

Don't know what the problem is. Was the pulley lose or did the bushing lose ?. Did you use a abrasive material that you sprayed. only 80 hrs is the warranty up. This may not help but if you don,t go to the new pump i have my old pump you are welcome to but it won't be there over night.

Yes, the warranty is up, I don't use mine like most do. lol I miced the shaft and the top is worn down considerably compared to where the bottom shaft spins on the lower bearing. The bearings checked out great, just the top of the shaft was worn. The pulley was tight as could be. What I find that is so strange is one, this kind of wear withg such low hours and two, the bearings are not worn at all, I even put the mic to them. I have never ran anythin though it other than Triplet so no abrasives but the chemilces don't even contact this piece. Accordiing to the manual i can buy just the shaft but I don't see how this could wear like this other than a defect in the material, or how the heat treating of the steel shaft. Anyone else have this problem?

What year is this T. They did have a problem with this on the very early production models. If you have the old pump in it I highly recommend putting the new one in.
