Most of my customers like the dyed black. Second would be double ground natural hardwood. Third would be cedar cause it costs a fortune. I dont use much red or brown dyed mulch.

WOW - Surprising Results
Looks like Brown and Black are tied for first and Red is a distant second. In Port St Lucie Florida Red mulch is number one by far! Funny how that works out, wonder why? |

I try to steer my customers away from the Red. It fades way too easy/fast. Before I had access to a dump trailer if I had to get more than one truck load, you could easily see the difference between the 2 loads of mulch if it was all in the same bed.

South Carolina.
I push dyed brown for most of my jobs. I feel it has the most natural look and longest lasting color. I sell about 45% that, 45% undyed hardwood mulch, and 10% black dyed. I have never used red. Posted via Mobile Device |

Brown is a big seller...
The county will have free shredded mulch for homeowners, where they can load up their vehicles in the spring to early summer. Every year the county goes to town cutting trees. |
