A good install uses a weatherproof whip from the breaker.

Well today I forgot to do the little thing (idk what it's called ) that locks the trailer to the ball and was going to take the mower off to switch mowers around and as I was driving my g3 off thought the trailer was getting kinda low on the back the. Go to drive off the gate and the tounge flies in the air , not to mention about 4 of my neibors were out and watching me

Better to have caught it then rather than when you're driving down the road, hit a bump, and it disconnects from the truck while in traffic.

On a side note, I've seen something else similar happen. Truck driver went to drop a trailer in our parking lot (this was when I worked at a department store), and he forgot to lower the trailer's landing gear before disconnecting. Trailer slid off the hitch, and slammed nose-first to the ground. I ran out there to see what the big bang was, saw the trailer, and the guy says to me "not the first time this has happened to me. Probably won't be the last."

Lol don't feel bad schrock I did the same thing the other day except I was at my house. I got home form cutting unhooked the trailer then went to rest for a little bit. No even thinking I go to get my mower out of the trailer and just as I'm on the ramp I'm thinking man the ground is getting closer than usual lol. The front of my trailer popped up and made a loud kaboom coming back down lol. I felt like a dumba$$ lol.

You're lucky, sometimes the tongue comes down and hits the tailgate or bumper of the truck. "Stuff" happens........

Drove ten miles to my farthest account for the day, got out of the truck only to discover I forget to hook up the trailer. From then on I made sure I had my morning coffee before starting out…

Ive done that with the trailer. It dominated my bumper and tailgate.

I've drove all the way to an account and forgot my keys to my mowers.

Drove to shop without keys

Drove to accounts without trimmer gas cans

Drove to accounts without trimmers

Gotten halfway through a 7 acre lawn and ran out of gas. Walked all the way to the truck to find no gas in the can. (was meaning to fill it that morning). Had to leave the mower and go get gas. That is my biggest account and I was so nervous about what they'd think of me.

...mowed in wet weather and left huge ruts....

Mowed too steep.... Had to flag down a water meter guy who thankfully had chains and pulled out the ZTR with the truck.
