I started off with an f-450 and got to where I was constantly overloading it plus trying to pull a tractor or loader down the road.
I spec d an F-750,supercab XLT with a C-7 cat,14 ft dump bed which I lined with 3/4in tongue and groove treated lumber. My GVWR is 33,500 and I licensed it for 45,000.
I can leaglly haul 8.5 tons and pull my B-26 and maybe my Tak 140 if I drop off a little fat.
I do a decent amount of hauling for other landscapers and home owners that don't won't a fat dumptruck backing down their driveway. I also left my card at all of the local quarries and a yardwaste landfill. I stay kinda busy just hauling.
Aside from looking to buy a kubota trakhoe,I'm thinking about an older R-model Mack tandem dumptruck. I have a ready made customer tho to haul off excavated dirt from pool construction and I resell it for fill dirt. I would prolly only put 10k a year if that much.
