My brother and I are going to pick up our New Gravely Pro-Walk Hydro drive 36 inch mower this afternoon, I'm excited to add it to our fleet.

We looked really hard at buying the Exmark Turf Tracer 36" and the Ferris Hydrocut 36" but decided to go with the Gravely. I hope it serves us well, it comes with the 14.5 hp Kawi. Does anyone have experience with the Pro-Walk 36 inch?

We have the gear drive version. Bought it new last year. It leaves a very smooth clean cut. It will clump if you are cutting a lot of growth off and it is wet out. It never clumps no matter how deep if it is dry out. We only use it on 2 lawns so as of today it only has 31 hours on it. We bought it knowing it would get used very little.

I have a Gravely pro walk hydro 36in with the pro steer. The pro steer is hard to get used to at first but is amazing once you get the hang of it. I highly recommend getting the pro steer option if you haven't already.

Great mower so far. I got it a few months ago and my only issue with it is that the deck doesn't go past the wheel base so its a little tricky to stripe with. My old scag used to over hang about 1-2 inches which made it much easier to stripe with.

Im hoping to demo a 48" or 52" Gravely walk behind with the Pro Steer controls. Looks to be easy on the hands. Do you have a velke?

No velke but its a quick mower so a velke would do well on bigger lawns.

good choice. you will be happy with it. my 36 leaves a better cut than my 52. it's sole purpose is to go the places the 52 can't get. i use it in tight spots, gated back yards, and ditches. get ya a sulky and then you can ride. hydro is the only way to go. that mower is 37" wide. the gear drive 36 is much wider.

Yeah I got the pro steer, it is a little hard to get use at first, but a great steering option for sure! I've only cut with it for a little over an hour and it cuts really well! Do you have a stripe kit for it? It does make really good lines in Bermuda grass- better than my Scag 48 Hydro WB.

It cuts great, we picked up the mower this past Friday afternoon and I've cut 2 small lawns with it so far and it leaves a very nice cut! We planned on getting the Exmark Turf Tracer 36 Hydro, but changed our minds to the Gravely because of the year-end deals going on right now (saved a bunch of $$). Plus I think now the Gravely Pro-Walk Hydro is just as good of cutting machine as the Turf Tracer.

We also got this mower for tight areas, mostly backyards with gates. Yesterday we got the two-wheel velkie by Wright (it's pretty beefy)..much better than walking for sure!
