Am I the only one who wants a forum like button
Obviously this is a result of using Facebook way too often but when I see good forum responses I keep looking for the like button only to be repeatedly disappointed by it's non-existence.
Is it just me?

If you really want to make improvements you should also have a like count next to the post count.
So everyone knows how much you are liked. lol

Maybe a generic "thumbs up" button like what YouTube has.

Another forum I am active with has "thumbs up"/"thumbs down" buttons for each post near the posters post count. It shows #thumbs up,#thumbs down, and percentage. The count is the total the poster has on all threads. It helps distinguish who gives reliable info and who doesn't.

www.slashdot.org uses a self moderation method that is more complicated than a Facebook 'like', but helps bump up the good threads and hide the useless, badly rated ones.
