It ain't the paint...its the artist...
We use a 9 in wheel on a body grinder...blade chucked in a vise..
Sharp enough to shave....all day long.....on all 30 mowers....

It won't outperform the magna and it's not the only way but for the price and the numerous other uses some guys don't want / need a dedicated blade grinder taking up bench space when they already have a machine that can do the job and many others.

but but but I keep reading that you don't need them that sharp and they don't last as long.

I make them sharp as well and have done the other way 1/64" blunted edge and honestly couldn't tell a darn bit of difference.

Bahia needs razor sharp blades and good blade speed...
We sharpen them everyday...run them 8 to 10 hrs a day..

I agree 100% although ours don't get the hours yours do. I sharpen 4 times a week I get 2 days out of the one sharpening because were not mowing a lot those 2 days due to full service accounts.

After 15minutes in our sand storm soil you can't tell the difference and that razor edge is gone. Mm is a good tool for a high volume shop and a toy for everybody else.

Guys kill me with these MM threads. I am willing to bet you hardly ever check the deck set which will affect cut way more than the blade sharpness, but that's another thread.

Guys, I'm joking. I think the MM is a HUGE waste of money. I use a bench grinder from HF that was $40 and works just fine. The last one I bought came with the 70 piece nose hair trimmer too!
