I had a neighbor who used to use a shop vac to clean the debris off his lawn every spring. He would sit out there on top of the vac with a cigar for hours at a time for days on end. He looked kind of silly.

gonna agree with the boys

Our local hardware rents all kinds of goodies.
I think they also rent a husky PZT.

something like that would be like the old days renting cars. It drives away nice and clean but bringing it back...um yeah

Well, I've always cared more for function than form. But I do agree that using one on your lawn sure would suck (look silly but also work well).

Well, first, my credit is excellent, because I only use cash, I do not and have never applied for credit, cause I dont believe in it. I do have a debit card but that is not the same thing. So, either I have the funds or I dont. If I dont have the money then I dont buy it. I dont believe that the way to get out of debt is to go into debt (unlike many of those in Congress do). I dont owe anyone any thing and never did. I thought about renting many years ago and several contractors told me that if I did rent something for one day, I would immediately discover that I would need it the next day also, and possibly for several days, when at that point I might as well have purchased the (bleep bleep) tool; and sooner or later I would need it again. And if I did buy it and found that I was never going to use it again, I could sell it and still make out better than renting. Nuff said, I found their advice to be excellent.

Usually you only get excellent credit by actually using credit. Those who only use cash typically have low credit scores.

Sad but true. If he has never applied for credit then he will have bad credit. Did he not finance his house? Most people do not have the cash to outright purchase a house. Well at least around here any way where even a run down dump on .3 acres goes for over $300K. Our house was 575K 2 years ago. When I bought my new avalanche a couple weeks ago we asked what our credit scores were and the finance guy showed us. My wife's was 855 and mine was 760.

Hope the young man never gets sick then ends up in a hospital. You can run thru a bank account real fast with hospital bills.

My dad paid cash for everything too, including his house when he had it built. All his cars etc., everything. He did rent equipment that he needed once in a great while, like a boom lift so I could trim and remove trees for him when he wanted it, or a stump grinder etc. Renting tools you need to make money has absolutely nothing to do with your credit or anything else for that matter other than they want a credit card to hold on file. Since my dad had none, I used mine to rent the tools we needed, but he paid the final bill when we were done with them.

Just and FYI guys, as I said, my dad paid cash for everything and he still had as high a credit score as anyone can get. He could get it once a year for free, so he did know what score he had, and when he died, I know he had outstanding credit and owed no one anything, because I had to handle the estate. As long as you own everything free and clear and own no one for anything, you can have a very high score because the banks consider you an excellent risk. The more your assets are, the higher the score. However, it isn't very often anymore than anyone can do what my dad was able to do and be totally debt free and own nice a nice vehicle, home, and property at the same time. At least not these days anyway.

That's BS and there were several court case rulings that no credit does not equal bad credit . . . I wish someone would try that **** with me, its illegal to do it in the US. I looked at my credit score and it is fine.
