Sorry I am late but I have 12 zones (90 roters and rest sprays) and inlet pressure at 82 psig. Banged all the time and installed water hammer after sprinkler 1 inch tee inlet (to backflow) and all good now. Use Hunter jar heads.

Right now, the stop valve is the noise maker due to it being throttled down.
