I have just recently started looking at mowers again. I have a few Super z's of the older XR7 type, they are good mowers but the newer Super Z drive system is in a class all by itself.

I have been learning about hydraulics and after studying the varyious hydro system's on ZTR's in my opinion it is vastly superior to the Cheetah.

Go research the pumps they use and the way the system is setup,no other ZTR I know of comes close.

Quality wise you cannot beat the new Super Z but on other merits the Cheetah may have some advantages.

Thanks I went down and picked up a super 60" 37 hp and it seemed to be pretty nice I also like the hydo cooler and fan but after reading on here a little bit sounds like the scag cuts very clean now at a stand still

On St. Augustine I am going to doubt you will have any cut issues with the new vx4 deck, bahia either but if you do look at adjusting the baffle.

Well everyone says that everyone try's to copy the scag deck but the super z deck looks very similar seemed like the one I mowed with looked good the main thing that not sure of is how rough everyone is saying about the super z just come off a Gravley and it is like a Cadillac compared compared to that

I dont think your comparing apples to oranges. The super z or the turf tiger would be my choice, or the cheetah to the xone. I mowed on a new super z 66" last week. Hydros felt amazing... feels like a lot better mower than the cheetah, expecially comparing 5400 transaxles to the super z hyper drive with cooler. If they are priced the same its a no brainer...

There is no dougt about it the drive is great and I mean alot better than any other offering but what did you think of the ride ? for the money they are a good buy alone in the quality dep. you don't think the same can be said for the Cheetah?

Cheetah hands down. The velocity deck is the deck to compare all others too. The suspension platform will also allow you to cut at faster speeds without being bucked off the machine. Hustler's Hyper Drive has not been proven yet. Its similar to a skid steer hydro system. Only time will tell.
