Need Help

I am deciding whether or not to buy this mower and I need some reviews. It is a 2005 eXmark 48" hydro trivantage walk behind with 700 hours on a new 19hp kawasaki motor. It has a sulky and bagger and the price is $1800. Do you think this is a good price and what are your pros and cons of this mower. Any information will help.
Thanks

a 48 is a good middle ground sized mower.
Meaning the width will accomodated most sized lawns.

700 hrs on an small engine is no longer in new condition.
Trust me, I can wreak alot of havok in 700 hrs.
So get the compression tested before hand.

I've got a 48" WB mower that's the most unfogiving beast any LCO ever operated. It has a 14.5 kawi {FC420V}. It's never been dug into and still cranks first pull after 17 years. Gots tons of compression and will rip your hands off when starting in cold weather.

One thing my manual says to do is shut the engine off at idle. Some people do not do this {read the engine manual, some vary}, shutting it off at high or mid throttle, and it will eventually wear out piston wall and rings.
And thus no more compression. It will start ok when cold but after it warms up you will loose power and restarting capability, have rpm fluctuation etc.....
Correct me if I'm wrong.

It has an electric start so I don't have to worry about my hands being ripped off and I always shut the engine off at low idle, but I will talk to the guy and see how he does it.

Need some more opinions on this topic, even if you own a different type of eXmark I would like to know what you think of the brand in general or problems that you have with your eXmark. Your opinions WILL help. Thank you.
