I called the PA AG office today to see if there had been any complaints regarding DuPont and Imprelis. They had no idea what I was talking about. I quickly explained that there are probably 500 or more PA residents with a problem with the weed killer put out by DuPont. They checked their records and told me the the AG office had not taken any legal action against DuPont. I asked if there were other complaints and their response was that they cannot answer that question. I asked if there was any investigation going on on this and was told they cannot tell me that either. The only thing they can tell me is whether or not the AG office has taken any legal action against DuPont. Not a lot of useful info coming from them.

I too called the Michigan AG office but they referred me to the Agriculture dept. I'll talk to them on Monday. The Michigan AG representative that I spoke with was clueless about Imprelis but that's just one person in a large, bureaucratic dept.. I will file a written complaint as another poster suggested and see what that nets me.

Might want to mention to MI and PA AG's that OH is investigating and they admit they have received complaints. They may or may not take action, depending on how well resolutions are for customers.

States will certainly be watching developements. If it continues migrating into properties and possibly state owned properties and watersheds they will be all over this. EPA is still involved too. Lots of investigations going on. Don't expect to see it all covered by media. Officials know about and many law firms are actively involved.

Anyway,
Don't waste your time with contacting your state's attorney general. I mailed a "request for action" letter to ours in the spring of 2011. We finally received a reply months later. It pretty much said they didn't' handle these types of situations for small businesses.

Know that the Ohio AG office contacted me. Each state could be different. It can't hurt.

I missed this, it's probably one of many suits for class action from LCO's.

DuPont to cut 1,500 jobs after 3Q profit slide
Posted: Oct 23, 2012 6:52 AM EDT
Updated: Oct 23, 2012 6:52 AM EDT

The Wilmington company reported net income of $10 million Tuesday, or a penny per share, compared with $452 million, or 48 cents per share, for the same period last year.

Excluding one-time items, DuPont earned 44 cents per share, compared with 69 cents per share for last year's third quarter.

The results fell short of the average estimate of 46 cents per share, and Dupont's stock slid 4 percent in premarket trading.

Revenue totaled about $7.4 billion, down 9 percent from $8.1 billion.

CEO Ellen Kullman said weaker than expected demand in titanium dioxide and photovoltaic markets contributed to the decline.

This pretty much tells you that Imprelis is just a small bump in the road for DuPont.
