i use either .095 or .105 i think .105 is the heaviest line recommended by shindaiwa for my T260 as the heavier the line the more strain will be put on the machine

.095 For me for years and have tried .105... but the .095 lasts for ever with me... A five pound role usually 2.5 years...

We run .105 stihl X line in all of our trimmers, always had good luck with it.

Our Stihl's like the round .095 line, and we have a small echo, with crossfire .080 which works awe-sum for us. Use Heavy Gator Line for fields.

I use .105 ...it last longer and is more durable when I use it for edging along sidewalks and driveways

.095 in the loop-handled trimmers for routine mowing and .105 in the bike handlebar trimmer for the overgrown stuff. The bigger lines just don't cut as cleanly in my opinon. I want to cut the grass, not beat it to death.

.095 for us...
The smaller the line, the finer the cut. Posted via Mobile Device |

Agreed with the majority. .095 Stihl line is all I run, I've ran the heavier stuff but didn't really like it. Switched back to .095, anything under that is homeowner territory lol

I switch back and forth between .080 and .095. Not really rhyme or reason to it, either haha.
