Recessed Lighting on Front Porch
I have a front porch that I am going to install recessed lighting and can not decide whether to use two or three... The front door and two other windows are right on the porch.

You cold either, just depends on how much light you want in that porch area.

Have you checked with the local code inspector? Ask about LV wire inside a structure and proper electrical license.

Why would he use LV wire up there? I am sure he would use romex and 120v fixtures. (assuming here)

If you are not sure, install three on a dimmer switch. You can always dim three down to get the light of two but you can't brighten two to look like three.
