OK....... I bent the shaft on a Briggs starter years ago trying to drive a rusted roll pin out, Never bent another.....





The bend is right on one of the large holes, This lets the roll pin go on through and drops on your bench.

As you can see here by the mushrooming, It's removed hundreds of starter drives......




Oh...... The starter brush holder Kohler sells, I made one years before and mentioned it at a update..... Suddenly they offered one.....

The ole starter drive rollpin removal tool....Yep....Briggs would have stolen it from you....
I too made a starter brush holder. Tool #1 in the first post in this thread...i made it from instructions in a Kohler manual....
Guess i know where to send the royalty check....watch your mailbox...

The tool in question is the bolt with all the washers on it....
Hint...Used alot on Kaw FB460 engines....

I will hazard a guess, it looks like a tool I made for removing/installing the piston pin on 23 cc 2 cycle engines, only bigger.

The last time I worked on a fb460 was way back in 96, I had to peen a valve seat back in. These where such a rock solid engine if you took care of them.

You were in the right area...Breez...

I use that bolt with washers to reposition the valve guides..
Those engines run so long that the guides like to slip after a few years.
I just push them back into place..never had one slip twice...

Didn't have those problems with seats and guides when there was a little lead in the fuel.
