Sounds like you gave up....before doing that pop a seal in and see if it starts. Then decide next step.

I thought about that, but If I split the case will I have to replace that seal again?

No if you are careful you can get them back out. Echo seals are only $3. YOu can punch on them from inside after you get it apart.

Ok. You talked me into it. Seal going in soon. Then ill reassemble and see if she fires. If it runs I will source the bearing and go from there.

SHE RUNS!!!

Got it running today after replacing that crank seal on the starter cup side! She sounded pretty bad.

What is everyone's opinion? Do you think that replacing that bearing will cure the problem?

I'd do the bearings so it doesn't tear up your new seals.

I'm thinking the poor running is still a carb issue. Pull the welsh plugs and see if there's any varnish deposits. This blower probably was abandoned with gas in it and that leads to a messed up carb every time.

judging from the muffler, I belive it was running well. It just sounded clangy. (If thats even a word)

Oh. Okay. As long as it idles good and revs up nice then you're golden. Put that bearing in there and call it done.
