Does anyone know what the deal is with trees that uprooted between sidewalks and curbs. Who is responsible for removing the stumps and fix the sidewalks? Is it homeowner or township

All of that is towns responsibility. Trees are theirs and any damage caused is their responsibility.

Apparently it is town by town basis, Toms River passed an ordnance alittle over a year ago changing it to homeowners responsibly

In my town they're very slow in cleaning up brush debris and falling trees therefore the customers get aggravated and wind up having me do it anyway. Also the best money I have ever spent was on my chipper, the town I live in does not own a chipper so they call me and do some chipping for them which is a great paycheck. I call my chipper the ice cream man...people hear it and come running out of their houses for me to do their brush piles. Of course having a chipper pushes leaves back till December but have to use the equipment i paid for.
