How much plow can my skid steer handle?

I have an ASV RC30.
I want to fit it with a snow plow.
What is the optimal size plow to go with?
Thanks

The Rc30 will push 8ft blade with not much trouble. Keep in mind the rc30 is a little light in the tail. If the blade is 700-800lbs you will really benefit from a counter weight. I am running a Boss Bx-8 box blade this year. It weighs around 850 plus another 150 or so for my mini to full size quick attach coupler. All together it about 1000 lbs. it will lift it with no hesitation off idle, but it is begging for a 3-400lbs counter weight. Mine is a 2012 pt30.

Thanks for all the great info. Do you think I could still use an 8'er with a heavy, wet snow?Should I go down a size or will I still be ok? Also, just wondering if you have any experience with a snow bucket for that machine, and what size it might handle?
Thanks again.

Doesn't the new PT30 have a higher ROC than an older RC30? It might be worth checking since this would impact how well it handles a larger blade.

Yes, the new pt30 does have a higher ROC then the older rc. Might make a noticable difference.

I pushed a 2' snow with an RC30 and a 7.5' meyers about 3 years ago. Did just fine, but wouldn't want any bigger...snow or blade.

Thank you for the additional posts. Just wanted to ask another question.

If I choose to go with a BUCKET instead of a blade, WHAT WIDTH GP bucket do you think it could handle? I'd like to go 72" or 78"--what do you think?
Thanks

I had a 72" light to medium duty bucket made by Loflin on the Rc30 and it did great in the snow. Wouldn't stick a wide heavy duty bucket (bradco, virnig, JD, Nh, Cat, bobcat) on it as they weigh too much.
