Not having enough committed customers

Why is it that I am not having enough committed customers from year to year, they use me for one year , and never hear from them again. Even though they are very happy with my work. I talk to other guys in my area who have had customers for 20+ years. Why not me.

If they are happy with you why aren't still your customers. I don't follow this. Do you do maintenance? If so do they fire you, do you stop coming and wait for them to call or what? All my cutting only maintenance customers will have their services resummed automatically when grass resumes growing. Full service customers continue to pay and recieve services all winter.
