hydro or belt walk behind exmark
Hey guys im having trouble decided where to get a 36 inch exmark walk behind in drive belts or hydro any opinions

it depends on how much your willing to spend that the terrain you plan on mowing...there are a bunch of belt vs hydro posts on here if you search it

i tested a scag belt and then a exmark hydro, i went with the exmark hydro for the reverse feature mainly, and of course alot easier turning.

Only thing im worried bout is how reliable or those hydro pumps do they ever crap out ?

If you can afford the hydro model than there is no question. Belt drives are miserable. Hydro pumps last a long time and are very reliable, especially on exmarks

Ok which size would u recommend for just starting out a 36 turftracer or 42

Depends on if your area has a lot of fenced in yards. 36 will fit through most standard gates, anything larger you'll probably be scratchin your head. If gates aren't an issue, get a 48 or 52. Larger the deck, less time on the lawn.
