i know this is an old thread, but researching them since i saw one on craigslist a few minutes ago. i tried a 48" piranha out one day. i was driving down the rd and thought it to be a scag... the mower was used, but ran w/ the ease of any belt driven mower on the market. the only reason i didnt pick it up was his price. he was asking like 4k for it, came home and researched em a little and saw the new new price on it...

I bought a 36" belt drive with the 15hp kawi years ago to cut empty lots with and all I can say is I put it through the worst conditions and to this day that thing still works great.
