GPS Fleet Tracking

I am interested in a GPS system for our fleet that would integrate with software in the office to initiate, bill and track work in real time. Does anyone have a system like this in place that they would recommend?

In a former job before I started Servicevines we used a product called Xora that works on your phone.

There's also a company called US fleet tracking.

Service auto pilot will give you the "time-in, time-out" for your customers. Basically your employees hit the start button and stop button after they're done with a lawn.

I know this isn't a GPS but it shows you what lawns they've done, or are on.

Clip software does the same....i tried qxpress and didn't like it...

Just thought I'd share our choice for vehicle/equipment gps software. Teletrac is one of the largest and easiest to integrate GPS tracking and reporting softwares and actually have a focus on tree-lawn-garden as one of the main industries working with lots of companies like ours for needs like this. A buddy of mine works for a large local pest company that has over 100 trucks. They have a GPS system that the big wigs in the office have a 47" flat screen TV that they can watch each truck as it drives on our local roads. When each truck stops at the customers house they hit a "start" button and a timer starts for their time they are given to spend at that house. When the job is complete they hit "finish" and add any notes. As soon as they hit finish it automatically starts their GPS directions for the next clients house and the game starts all over.

Any truck that has gone idle for to long or off the grid will alert their manager via text.

I don't know the name of the service but I know they have spent over 100K to integrate this service and IPADS.

Yes. With the teletrac fleet management software we're using, we gauge these same metrics: idle time, ignition on/off, timecarding, fuel usage, and stationary time, when vehicle arrives and leaves a job site, or when they leave a geo zone etc. We've been very happy with the results so far and the return on investment.
