Toro g3 29hp kawi won't crank

I went to start my toro today and it would do nothing.I checked battery it's good, when I sit on the mower and try to start it will just click click that's it.If I try to start while not on the mower I don't even get that.Don't know if that is related with it but I always could start the mower weather I was on or off as long as the controls were in neutral and brake on.any ideas?

When you say you checked it, you are still getting close to 12 volts when you turn the key?

I took the battery out and took to auto store and they did a load test and said battery was 100%• when u turn the key it sounds like the starter try's but locks up.

Can you turn the engine with a socket and ratchet?

If so, possible ground issue.
Maybe pistonslapper will chime in

Lift the seat up and push the safety switch (entire metal bar that is sown into the bottom) upwards. I ran into the same problem and that's what it ended up being.

When lifting the seat all the way up. Underneath the seat you will see a metal bar, which is the safety switch that is actually sown into the seat. Push the bar into the seat some. Let me know if you can't find it.

It looks more like a metal plate than a bar.
