Turfco XT5 and Lesco Renovator slit seeder

Hello everyone, great info especially for me the beginner. Just finished my first year of aeration and it was a success. Bought the XT5 unit and now love it (except changing the oil). I also started overseeding and fertilizing with good results in lawn growth and profits. I also include a soil sample test in my aeration pricing which the customers love. I have just purchased a used Lesco Renovator; dethatcher, slit seeder. Have not used it yet as winter is here in Western New York. Looking forward to using it on my yard in the spring to get use to it. My question is would I just use the slit seeder on renovations or large areas of bare spots. As there would be no need to slit seed a healthy lawn, would there? Aeration with slit seeding would be overkill unless the lawn is very thin. Also if anyone has tips on running the Lesco Renovator please email plugnalawn at roadrunner dot com thanks for any and all comments good or bad.
