CLASSEN sa-25 stand on aerator or EXMARK 30" stand on aerator

Just looking for an up to date opinion on both machines. I'm leaning towards the Classen simply because the size so I can get in 32" - 48" inch gates where the Exmark will not exactly fit and will need to use a walk behind aerator to get to the backyard.

If you have one of these machines please let me know if you have problems with them or not.

Thanks!

I owned an SA-25 and traded it in for the Toro stand on version. Night and day. Toro / Exmark versions are so much better. Much, much faster and pull a much deeper plug. If I had the choice there is no way I would get the Classen. PM me your number if you would like to talk.

Most lots I deal with are 1/4 acre. I understand the Exmark one is faster and everything but is the Classen that bad where its worth me taking a walk behind aerator with me also because the size of the Exmark and the small gates it won't get through?

That definitely may level the field some. Depends on exactly how many accounts have small gates.

The Classen moves more like a tank where the Toro is more like a stand mower. What are the widths of each? The Classen didn't seem that narrow as I recall.

Without gates it seems like a 1/4 acre takes about 1/2 the time as it did with the Classen.

I own a Lawn Solutions stand on which is the same as the exmark and demoed a Classen. Go with the Exmark. It's a much better machine.

Thanks for everyones input. I think I will go with Exmark. Also thought about the long run if I ever get bigger properties or any commercial, the Exmark will probably be more useful.

You made the right call on this one. Lots of times the things you are comparing are very close or even down to a couple subjective things. This is not one of those.

When I owned the Classen I ran it over my yard for a couple years. This year I ran the Toro, pulled a much deeper plug and yielded much healthier turf. Speed and depth of plug make the Exmark / Toro the right call.

I have heard exactly the same and also heard there are a few minor differences, sorry I do not know for sure.
