Lets see your estimate forms.

Guys I know some of you only do pricing over the phone. This is the form I came up with based off of one of the forms from realgreen for a field estimate. You dont have to share if don't like but I wouldn't mind seeing some other forms. If mine is terrible tell me. Im not scared of criticism.

Looks good, but you need to proofread before committing to print.

Dandelion misspelled. Same with environment.
Nutsedge is one word. Same with crabgrass.
Several capitalization errors. One glaring one is 'OF'.
I'd suggest using through instead of thru.

I also don't particularly care for your little 'spot spraying' lecture in the middle. Good luck with that, though.

Thanks for the heads up on the grammar errors. I will also take the spot spraying "lecture" into consideration. Changing the grammar errors now. I just finished this yesterday and I wont start using the form until jan 1.

"revoving door service"?
"Cancled at any time"?
Needs more pictures and less fine print. People seldom want to read for more than 15 seconds.
Bold print--bullet points.
Guarantee. Best products. Best people. Better service than main competitor.

Talk to your printer he probably has a bit of experience and can show you examples of top quality quote sheets. Better yet go online and take a look at professional brochures and literature prepared by printing companies.

I dont understand why I need pictures? This is just a estimate form for pricing, not a brochure or any kind of advertisement. Strictly an estimate for pricing and to let them know the cost of services if purchased.

I have seen scotts estimates and their forms are very similar to this. This is a form from real green systems that I changed into our company information. I cant imagine anyone who has more experience than they do in the print side of the lawn care industry?

Im going to delete the environmentally conscious section out as its confusing a lot of people.

Take a look at what TruGreen and some of your competitors are doing. After all the goal is a sale of your services. I only quoted the ap price and the number of applications per year.
My estimate sheet had a box to check next to each weed, disease or problem grass. For each problem its best to print a line to reassure the customer that you will spot and take care of the problem--or at least help it. I suggest put your logo and company information at the bottom. Put your phone number and "CALL NOW" at the top.

Irregular capitalization of wording.

It looks like you have grouped the difficult weeds together with the controllable weeds.
Only 4 grass types--no tall fescue?

since youre taking out the spot spray section, Id suggest replacing it with your nearest other accounts. Since we dont have a ton of brand equity, we get asked that alot - where are your nearest other homes that we can see your quality of work.

But ultimately, why are you wasting your time doing free lawn evaluations?

I have to agree, I do not do free evaluations anymore with an estimate (i did it at first because its what we did at trugreen). Now i just leave my price and what my service consists of, my free service call guarantee and references available upon request. but no more 14 point or 10 point lawn evaluations.

Triggle we strictly have warm season turf, no cool season at all here. I see what your saying. This form is more of a quote instead if an evaluation. It has all the info we need to put into our software so we know what programs to assign the account. I'm right on the coast next to sc.

I do like the idea of the nearest accounts.
