That is why I am kinda holding off on that. I am not going to get Scag paint too costly. I was thinking about just putting Rust-o-lem on to stop the rust?

Tractor paint from "Tractor Supply" and a cheap sprayer from Harbor Freight.

I restored an old hydro Scag that was in similar condition a couple years ago, and I used some orange Rustoleum from Home Depot and it worked great and looked very professional.

I got the 20hp Briggs Vanguard for $600 on Ebay brand new, it was my main mower all of 2012, leaves a good stripe.

All I can say is that looks great. Sure gonna put me to shame. My unit will be belt drive for both wheels and blades so jury is out about how good of a cut it will give. If it cuts real good.....then it will get a nice tear down and paint job next winter. I got a rebuilt 15hp Kohler coming.

Well I am slowly making progress on the rebuild.



I got the spindle from a TT where guy just wanted his replaced every 5 years. So I had to get an arbor but the pulley off a Wright Sentar worked with new arbor.
