Question #5. Kohler CV740. ..27 hp with DSAI ignition...

Condition...Fuse blows instantly when key turned on....
Unplugged coils...now the fuse doesn't blow...but starter stays engaged in all key positions except OFF.

Name That Failure...

Condition...Engine takes 3 to 5 seconds to turn off after the key is turned off...

How are all these engines getting fixed..???? Replacement engines...???

4...has nothing to do with the wiring..
5 and 6 have something to do with the engine harness
7...doesn't have anything to do with anything...

A few years back, I worked a Walker that would run on a few seconds longer that it should. The machine was only used in the winter, it had a snow thrower attachment. When not used, it was stored in a building that contained all the fert. and chemicals. Some how the key switch got contaminated and bridged the connections in the switch.

In this case, and I'm only guessing, there are crossed wires
or a bad wire plugs, Yes ?
