Ok...the most common way this happens is when you unplug the white wire...the wire that grounds the coils when you turn the key off...
You usually unplug the white wire in the engine harness to bypass the safeties or to isolate the kill wire ..

Fish...this is the answer I was looking for...disconnected kill wire from the engine connector.

That's part of the answer...probably have at least 1 smoked coil too...change everything..

Question #8....Briggs 6 hp Quantum...vert shaft..
Condition...installed new carb...good fuelflow to carb..still have to push the primer 10 times to start.. Name That Failure
