Hustler super 104

I haven't read anything on the site in a while, so sorry if there is allready a thread about this. I got a copy of power equipment trade, and saw a picture of the new hustler super 104 at the expo. It looks like a great large property mower. As far as I know there has never been a mower this large that was still a zero turn style mower. Anyone know anything about this mower? What size engine will it have and will there be a diesel option? Also wondering how much it will cost? Any thoughts on this mower?

I did go to their website, and I disagree. The best info is from people who have used one or at least seen one. Ok I just saw where hey have a 35 Kawasaki or 38 kohler. This wouldn't seem like near enough power for a 104". Seems like it would need a diesel or 40+ hp

You had better forget this model for at least 2 or 3 years. Hustler has a long track record of introducing new models that have had very little field testing. Then, their new models have numerous component failures and cut problems, that take Hustler several years to get worked out.
I can guarantee you this machine will have problems. Just wait till the reports start coming in after a few folks actually put them into daily service and get a few hundred hours on them. You will see that I am right about this.

Lastec has been building them for years, up to 100". They are building 120" ZT's now. check out www.Lastec.com.

Landscape poet, thanks for the link. It seems someone said it would cost $28,000. I'm no longer interested at all for that price. If they want to sell the machine for 30k then they better throw in an enclosed cab with air conditioner and a big Diesel engine. Seems like someone allready makes them with enclosed cab w/ heat and air, I can't remover who but the price was crazy high

I will know more in a couple weeks after my dealer goes to a Hustler training seminar of some sort, he said he would gather information on it. I would guess that 28k will not be the actual price paid by most, maybe the uniformed home owner with too much money. I am really waiting for him to return with more information on the new X-One i which is more likely than this beast to end up in my line up but it all depends on the price and the build of it compared to the regular Xone which is one of the best values out there IMHO.

I was told in the18k to 19 k range.
